Don't miss the next EWIF Scotland Regional Meeting where we will be focusing on making 2024 YOUR best year yet!
We have some fantastic guest speakers - both franchisors and franchisees - who will be sharing their stories, key plans and priorities for 2024.
Jen Fisher, Mini First Aid franchisee
Angelina Mouralidarane from IceKing who is both a franchisee and franchisor
Ruth Brown, Home Instead franchisor
Daisy Kelly - a non franchise business founder who has just been recognized by Forbes for her successful TikTok campaigns!
Jen Fisher, Mini First Aid Sussex
Jen has had her Mini First Aid Sussex franchise for just over 3 years including 2 expansions and bringing in trainers to join her team. As a single mum, a covid start up and without a background in business, Jen believes that you can carve out your own path to success despite any potential barriers.
Angelina Mouralidarane, IceKing
Iceking is a family owned and now, second generation, entrepreneurial business partnering with internationally renowned brands KFC, Pret A Manger and more recently M&S Foods.
Iceking re-invest in their assets to grow their profitability and support the communities they serve and give their people the opportunity to grow with them. This culminates in a successful business that can re-purpose profit for charitable causes such as food donation, homelessness, youth unemployment and mental health. Their success is born out of strong partnerships with their respective Franchisors and Angelina is proud to be a franchisee - having trained as a doctor with no academic grounding in finance or business, is testament to the fact that the franchise eco system is a proven platform for operating successful businesses and that determination, passion, relentless focus and hard work creates magical synergy – that’s what she endeavours to keep bringing to the network.
Ruth Brown, Chief Operating Officer at Home Instead
Ruth has worked in franchising throughout her career. She joined Home Instead in 2010 and was appointed as the UK company’s Chief Operating Officer in 2022. Her current role involves overseeing the support and end to end journey of all their franchisees.
An advocate of ethical franchising, Ruth is passionate about the sector’s ability to transform people’s lives. Ruth sits on the board of the British Franchise Association (bfa) and is a passionate spokesperson on all things franchise. Ruth is also a trustee of the Home Instead Charities UK.
Daisy Kelly, CEO & Founder - Glow For It
Glow For It focuses on empowering people to feel confident in their own skin. Glow For It was started in 2020, during the pandemic, an unprecedented time that meant Daisy's university degree was cut short and she was left without a job. Lash pulling was a personal struggle - Daisy has an obsessive compulsion to make wishes with her lashes and this is heightened during stressful periods. During lockdown she researched Lash Growth Serum’s - Those she found within budget were mainly oil-based, contained harmful hormones or were ineffective. She found that there was a big pool of people who wanted to invest in their natural beauty, so she seized the opportunity and took a leap of faith! With the help of her mum (a very experienced franchise professional) and the rest of her student loan, she invested in creating a vegan, cruelty and hormone-free lash serum to help enhance people’s natural beauty. Over the past three years, she has expanded the product range to include a variety of beauty products all designed to help people look and feel their best, relaunched the Lash + Brow Serums with their UK manufacturers to ensure they are meeting the highest level of sustainability, and Glow For It is now an award-winning, TikTok-viral beauty brand!
This EWIF meeting could well end up being our most inspiring yet. You are sure leave with your head buzzing with great ideas for your business from such amazing special guests!
